Terms & Service Policy
Last updated: 16 August 2026
These terms describe how we work, what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you. They apply when you book a repair with Pune Appliance Service, owned and operated by Udaykumar Raosaheb Shinde, Udyam Registration Number UDYAM-MH-26-0677109.
1. What we do
We provide doorstep repair for domestic washing machines, dishwashers and microwave ovens in Pune and the surrounding PCMC area. We work every day from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
We are an independent repair service. We are not an authorised service centre, franchise or agent of any appliance brand, and we do not represent ourselves as one. If your appliance is still covered by its manufacturer warranty, we will tell you so, because claiming under that warranty will normally cost you less than paying us.
2. Booking a visit
You can book by phone, WhatsApp or the form on this website. Submitting the form is a request for a visit, not a confirmed appointment — we call you back to confirm the slot. A booking is only confirmed once we have spoken to you.
Same-day service is what we aim for on calls received before 12 noon, subject to technician availability and your location. It is a target, not a guarantee.
3. Visit and inspection charge
- The visit and inspection charge is told to you on the phone before the technician is sent. You will never discover it on arrival.
- This charge covers the technician's travel and the diagnosis of the fault.
- If you approve the repair, the inspection charge is adjusted into the final repair cost.
- If you decide not to proceed after diagnosis, only the inspection charge is payable. That is your right and we will not pressure you.
4. Quotation and approval
After diagnosis, we give you a price for the repair. No repair work begins, and no part is ordered or fitted, until you approve that price.
If the technician opens the appliance and finds a second, unrelated fault, we stop and tell you before doing anything about it. Nothing is added to your bill that you did not agree to.
Occasionally a fault cannot be fully assessed without partial dismantling. Where that is the case, we say so upfront and give you the range before starting.
5. Spare parts
- Where a branded original part is available and sensible for the age of the appliance, we fit it and tell you the cost.
- Where an original part is unavailable or disproportionately expensive — common with older machines — we offer a good-quality compatible part and tell you plainly that it is compatible, not original. The choice is yours.
- Parts that must be ordered may add a day or more to the job. We tell you the expected wait before you approve.
- Replaced faulty parts are disposed of by us unless you ask to keep them at the time of the repair.
6. Warranty on our work
- We provide a service warranty on the repair work we carry out and on the spare parts we fit.
- The warranty period depends on the specific part or work and is written on the service receipt we give you. Keep that receipt — it is your warranty document.
- The warranty covers a recurrence of the same fault on the same part. It does not cover a new and unrelated fault.
- To claim, call us on 96074 76884 with your receipt to hand.
The warranty does not apply where, after the repair:
- The appliance has been opened, modified or worked on by someone else;
- The fault results from misuse, overloading, a power surge, water supply problems, pest damage or physical damage;
- The appliance has been moved or reinstalled incorrectly by another party.
7. What we may decline
We will tell you honestly and decline the job if:
- The repair cost approaches the value of replacing the appliance — we would rather you spent your money well;
- The appliance is unsafe to repair, or a repair would leave it unsafe;
- Required parts are genuinely no longer available for that model;
- The appliance is commercial or industrial rather than domestic.
8. Access and site conditions
Please make sure the technician can reach the appliance, and that a working power supply and water connection are available where the repair needs them. An adult should be present throughout the visit.
For built-in appliances, moving the unit out of its housing carries some risk to surrounding cabinetry and flooring, particularly on older or poorly fitted installations. We take proper care, and we will point out any risk before we start, but we cannot accept responsibility for pre-existing weaknesses in the installation.
9. Cancellation
You can cancel or reschedule at no cost by calling us before the technician sets out. If the technician has already reached your address and cannot carry out the visit — because nobody is present, or access is not possible — the visit charge remains payable.
10. Payment
Payment is due on completion of the repair. We provide a receipt for every job that records the work done, the parts fitted and the warranty period.
11. Limits of our liability
Our responsibility is limited to the repair work we carried out and the parts we fitted. We are not responsible for consequential losses such as spoiled food, spoiled laundry, lost time or loss of business arising from an appliance failure.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Indian consumer law.
12. Complaints
If something is not right, call 96074 76884 or email [email protected] and tell us. We would much rather fix a problem than have you leave unhappy.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the courts at Pune, Maharashtra.
